The series is created by Tim Kring (creator of Heroes). The format of the show is quite similar to Heroes. It started off showing people in different countries in their different lives, and how they are eventually get "connected". Kiefer Sutherland (from "24") acted as Martin Bohm ( Widower and single father ), who is frustrated because he is unable to communicate with his mute and autistic son, Jake. After consulting with experts, Martin learns Jake is a genius and has special gifts, and he communicates with numbers rather than with words.
It's only the beginning of the series, hope it will continue to do well. Love the show.
